Signs of Cold Stress in Century plant
Symptoms
Century plant flourishes in warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Below 40℉, the plant may weaken, wilt, and be susceptible to root rot. Mild frost damage might not show immediate signs, but the plant will gradually decline over a week.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections, checking for root rot. If roots are rotted, trim them and propagate new plants from cuttings. Relocate indoors to a warm spot, positioning the plant by a south-facing window for ample light. Supplement with artificial lighting if natural light is insufficient.

In summer, Century plant should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, growth stops, the plant dehydrates, wilts, and is more prone to sunburn.
