Ideal Temperature for Aloe vera

Signs of Cold Stress in Aloe vera
Symptoms
Aloe vera flourishes in warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 55℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, the plant may weaken, droop, and become susceptible to root decay. Mild frost damage might not show immediate signs, but the plant will gradually decline over a week.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections, checking for root rot. If roots are rotted, trim them and propagate the plant via cuttings. Relocate the plant indoors to a warm spot immediately, positioning it near a south-facing window for ample light. If natural light is insufficient, provide supplementary illumination.
Signs of Heat Stress in Aloe vera
Symptoms
In summer, Aloe vera should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant will stop growing, lose moisture, wilt, and be more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune off any sunburned or decayed portions. Protect the plant from direct afternoon sun until it recovers and resumes growth. For plants with root rot, cease watering until new roots start to form.
