Signs of Cold Stress in Indian Laurel
Symptoms
Indian Laurel favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 41℉, leaves might lose their vibrant color. Post-frost damage, they progressively turn brown or black, accompanied by wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection against cold. Position it near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Indian Laurel
Symptoms
In summer, Indian Laurel should be maintained below 77℉. When temperatures surpass 86℉, leaves become paler, and the plant is more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a shaded area during the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
