Signs of Cold Stress in Coral bells
Symptoms
Coral bells tolerates cold well and grows optimally when temperatures are above 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter damage might be visible, spring sprouting could be reduced or absent.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Coral bells
Symptoms
During summer, Coral bells should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures exceed 85℉, the plant's leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
