Signs of Cold Stress in Blue spruce
Symptoms
Blue spruce exhibits exceptional cold hardiness, but winter temperatures should ideally remain above -40℉. Should temperatures fall below this point, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, branches could become fragile and parched by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
During spring, remove any lifeless branches that have not developed fresh foliage.

Symptoms
Blue spruce does not tolerate elevated temperatures well. When temperatures surpass 60℉, it can suffer considerable leaf loss, and in extreme instances, the entire plant may wilt and perish.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
