Ideal Temperature for Japanese cherry

Signs of Cold Stress in Japanese cherry
Symptoms
Japanese cherry tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 32℉. If temperatures drop below 20℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, branches can become fragile and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Japanese cherry
Symptoms
In summer, Japanese cherry should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures rise above 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
