Ideal Temperature for Sugar Bush
Images of Sugar Bush
Indications of Cold Temperatures in Sugar Bush
Symptoms
Sugar Bush tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Indications of High Temperatures in Sugar Bush
Symptoms
During summer, Sugar Bush should be maintained below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 100℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
