Signs of Cold Stress in Siberian squill
Symptoms
Siberian squill tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 40℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Siberian squill
Symptoms
In summer, Siberian squill should be maintained below 60℉. When temperatures surpass 70℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, suffer sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
