Signs of Cold Stress in Adam's needle
Symptoms
Adam's needle tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 20℉, while winter changes might be subtle, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Adam's needle
Symptoms
In summer, Adam's needle should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves may lighten in hue, tips might dry and shrivel, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
