Is Onion poisonous to felines?
All varieties of onion are harmful to cats, with the common onion (Allium cepa) being the most dangerous. Every component of the plant, both above and below the soil, is toxic to felines. A cat that has consumed any will begin to exhibit signs of sickness – which might include throwing up, profuse salivation, loose stools, feebleness, light-colored gums, and/or stomach discomfort – within 6-12 hours. Frequently, cats need veterinary care to fully recuperate. Even prepared onions are dangerous!
Is Onion harmful to canines?
