Rhododendron ponticum (Rhododendron ponticum)

Rhododendron ponticum, often referred to as the common rhododendron or pontic rhododendron, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Rhododendron genus within the Ericaceae family, also known as the heath family. This species is indigenous to the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe as well as the Caucasus region in northwestern Asia.
